Indian billionaire Inder T Jaisinghani currently holds the position of Chairman and Managing Director of Polycab India. The company specialises in manufacturing electrical wires and cables and claims a market capitalisation of Rs 1.06 lakh crore as of 19 June 2024.
According to Forbes, Jaisinghani’s net worth as of April 9 is Rs 53,300 crore. Unfortunately, he had to leave his education at the age of 15 due to the untimely demise of his father. Jaisinghani started his entrepreneurial journey by starting a small shop in Lohar Chawl, Mumbai.
Over the years, the 71-year-old transformed the company from a trading firm founded in 1986 to a leading manufacturer of electric products, including electric fans and LED lighting.
Jaisinghani assumed the role of Chairman and Director of the company in December 1997 and was later reappointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Polycab India in August 2019. During his leadership, the company has achieved remarkable success, celebrating more than 25 years of operations.
