With the arrival of Ganesh Chaturthi, Mumbai’s famous Lalbaugcha Raja has unveiled his 2024 look, showcasing a magnificent 20 kg gold crown worth Rs 15 crore. According to a report in Lokmat Times, this year the crown was gifted by Anant Ambani and Reliance Foundation, which has added to the glory of the festival.
The first glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja was revealed on the evening of September 5, in which the idol was dressed in a beautiful maroon coloured dress and decorated with intricate jewellery. The 20-kilogram gold crown is the highlight of this year’s decoration, a masterpiece that took two months to prepare. Anant Ambani’s donation reflects his longstanding relationship with the Lalbaugcha Raja Committee, which has grown over the last 15 years.
Ambani is closely associated with the LalBaugcha Raja Committee. Over the years, he has actively supported various initiatives and participated in important events, such as the grand sinking ceremony at Gurgaon Chowpatty Beach, which marks the end of the festival. His continued involvement earned him a position as executive advisor to the committee.
At another recent event, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani attended the grand finale of Rajdhiraj: Love, Life, Leela at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai. The mega musical, held at the Grand Theatre in Bandra Kurla Complex, depicts the divine journey of Lord Krishna. At the end of the ceremony Nita Ambani extended her best wishes for Ganesh Chaturthi and expressed happiness with the audience.
Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani recently got married to Radhika Merchant, daughter of businessmen Viren and Sheila Merchant. Their wedding on July 12 was a grand ceremony attended by prominent global personalities.
