Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand has made serious allegations over the gold scam at Kedarnath temple, claiming that 228 kg of gold is missing and no investigation has been initiated into it. He also questioned the plans to build a replica of the Kedarnath temple in Delhi, saying it could lead to another scam.

“There has been a gold scam in Kedarnath, why was this issue not raised? Kedarnath to be built in Delhi after scam there? And then there will be another scandal. 228 kg gold missing from Kedarnath No inquiry has been started. Who is responsible for this? Now they are saying that they will construct Kedarnath in Delhi, it cannot happen.

He said that we are all followers of Sanatan Dharma. We have a definition of ‘sin’ and ‘virtue’. The greatest sin is betrayal. Uddhav Thackeray has been betrayed. “We are all saddened by the betrayal he had to face. Our pain won’t ease until he becomes Maharashtra CM again.
The priest further said that a person who commits deceit cannot be a Hindu.
